does the PVC vavle “HOSE and the crankcase emission filter” is it included when buying the kit? gotta replace the hose and filter on my car.. sorry if the questions seems stupid, im new to fixing cars
but eventually be too shitfaced to know the difference between a door handle and a floor mat………noo, not me. but seriously, i would wrench the W.H.O.L.E. motor apart to make it right. unfortunately, my landlord flies on a broomstick till im dead if i mention anything that has to do with fixing my truck on the property. but yes, ill keep trying. thanks 4 your time buddy.
ok, i think i have something seriously wrong with the motor! hehe…well, its now running a BIT rough at idle but runs perfect when accelerating? huh! now ive found that my lower drivers side ball joint is blown seeing ive installed them 1 year ago. well im not gonna pull apart the motor so ill drive it till it shits the bed. ;( dont know what to say, if only there was someone in my area that had all the tools neccesary and the space to do it in and ill supply all the beers needed.
@grimreaperws no, it doesnt burn oil and smoke but you can smell the sweet smell of antifreeze in the exhaust. i did make a catch jar recently between the valve and the intake to catch any oil that passes through and it works. im more worried about the oil clogging up the injectors though. i do remember that 1 of the spark plugs broke and we had to use an easy-out. we used a high powered air compressor to blow out the ceramic, i think some pieces got inside the cylinder chamber. valve??
hmmmm….well, i have a 94 ford explorer 4.0l and i replaced the pcv valve and i still get oil spitting up through it and coated the entire insides of the intake manifold contaminating the air intake temp sensor. what are the symptoms the engine will experience when the valve goes bad and why is oil passing through?
please help.
Darn right…
A bit more harder on a 2000 Focus.. 2.0 dohc….
Remove themostat housing, remove this, then that, then unscrew the metal bracket that holds the hose, then spend 3 hours pulling and tugging on the PCV elbow/valve….
its located right behind the exhaust manifold in the front of the engine its hard to get to plus its connected to a metal hose which is a pain to take off
Does anybody have a video of how to replace PCV valve on a 1998 ford contour 4 cylinder? I have a horrible time finding where it is located at. Thanks in advance.
